- WingKong Chiu - Monash University
This webinar invited three game changers, who have disrupted conventional construction technologies and introduced digital tools and techniques in various areas of construction.
Digital Health Check of Concrete Structures for a Sustainable Built World
Presenter: Risto Doncev
An important aspect of sustainability is to maintain, upgrade and refurbish our structures to operate them for as long as possible. This presentation discusses what is required to achieve this, including preventive digital inspections to understand the health condition of our structures over the entire lifecycle.
Structural Health Monitoring for Concrete Structures
Presenter: John Vazey
The presentation will provide an overview of measurement and monitoring projects focused on the Advances, Benefits, Myths & Challenges in Applied Health Monitoring of Concrete Structures, using a series of projects to highlight the best use of technology for the industry. The talk will start with concrete curing, and end with managing structural deterioration rates.
Development of Scum Geometrical Monitoring Beneath Floating Covers Aided by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Photogrammetry
Presenter: WingKong Chiu
This presentation focuses on the use of floating covers on anaerobic lagoons at waste-water treatment plants that are used for odour control and the harvesting of biogas. A non-contact drone photogrammetry technique has been deployed to quantify the development of scum underneath the cover; this method could be a safe and cost-effective alternative to current practice.
CPD
This webinar provides 1 hour of CPD. Engineers Australia members may claim this hour of CPD if applicable to their area of engineering practice. This webinar is also recognised CPD for members of other professional bodies with annual CPD obligations. Participants should retain their purchase confirmation as evidence for their CPD records.
