Tender closing for QLD park ‘n’ ride upgrade

Contractors with TMR prequalification are invited to tender for the Mango Hill Park ‘n’ Ride Upgrade project in Queensland this week.

The release of the building construction and maintenance tender came after the design was completed for the $10 million project that will provide 280 car parking spaces to increase public transport access.

This is part of Queensland’s larger $160 million Park ‘n’ Ride upgrades of more than 3200 new parking spaces to be delivered in the state’s south-east region over the next four years.

Contractors who wish to tender must have TMR (Department of Transport and Main Roads) prequalification Major R2, Minor B1, Financial F15, Asphalt A2 and above, to tender for the $10 million project, but only have a matter of days to do so.

The Mango Hill project includes 280 car parking spaces, a relocated Kiss ‘n’ Ride, taxi zone, pedestrian paths, stormwater run-off, bus facility and more, across two different sites.

Construction is expected to start mid-2022 and take 12 months to complete – weather and construction conditions permitting, with the majority of the works undertaken Monday to Friday during daylight.
