The Victoria Bridge was opened in 1969 and is a key public and active transport link between Brisbane CBD and the southern suburbs. When it opened, it briefly held the world record for the longest span concrete box-girder bridge. This recorded webinar reviews the Bridge Upgrade Project covering the development of the design criteria and the detailed refurbishment and strengthening design, in the following two presentations:
Victoria Bridge: Development of a Design Criteria for the Strengthening & Refurbishment
Presenter: Eoin O’Donovan

It also focusses on the need for departures from standards as well as the development of a concept for the strengthening design.
Victoria Bridge: Refurbishment and Strengthening Design
Presenters: Chris Ross and Nicolaj Pedersen
