The M7-M12 Integration Project is a spectacular Motorway project that provides access to Sydney’s new international airport. The project requires 46,000 cubic metres of sustainable concrete, of which over half is produced from recycled concrete which reduces Green House Gases by 16%. The project involves two simultaneously incrementally launched bridges and this presentation will delve into the logistics of delivery plants, fleet, and meeting project demand for materials and mixes. It will focus on bridge priority service and concrete maturity testing, achieving early age strength to facilitate launch, and maintaining or reducing construction cycle times. Environmental modelling is performed on the Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) materials calculator.
