Formwork Design to the new Australian Standard AS 3610.2 (Interim) Formwork for Concrete Part 2: Design and Construction

Summary: This new Interim Australian Standard sets out the minimum requirements for the design, erection and removal of formwork and the supporting falsework for cast in situ concrete. This is the first time that a decicated code on Formwork Design has been released in Australia and is an essential requirement for consultants and contractors working in this area.

Speaker: Justin Smith, Construc Pty Ltd, Construction Consulting Engineers

Description: This webinar will review the new Interim Australian Standard AS 3610.2 Formwork for Concrete Part 2: Design and Construction.
This new document will provide architects, builders, construction contractors, formwork designers, suppliers and contractors, with design information that will enable them to produce formwork that will adequately and safely support fluid concrete until it is self-supporting.
The major points in this document are:
-       Formwork actions have been substantially updated
-       A section specific to structural analysis methods for falsework has been added
-       A section for special formwork, such as single sided wall forms, jump/climb forms, and slip forms has been added.
-       The testing of formwork and its components has been expanded including new Appendices detailing specific tests.
This webinar is essential to any engineer or contractor designing, erecting or removing formwork and temporary constructions.
The webinar will run from 2.00pm to approximately 4.00 pm (AEST) and delegates will be emailed login details and a password for this webinar prior to the event.
