BCRC offers an exciting opportunity to lead their structures investigation team in Sydney. The team assesses buildings, mines and civil structures using the BCRC packages:

Smart Inspect – A cloud based data gathering system, supported by a range of advanced testing methods, based on a Forensic Engineering or Building Pathology approach.

CREAD – BCRC’s trademarked ‘Comprehensive Reliability and Engineering Analysis of Durability’ approach. Use full probabilitic analysis tools and advanced reliability concepts to achieve better engineering solutions.

EPIC Repair – A BCRC developed approach to selecting repair methods and materials.

Whether for a major refurbishment, a failure investigation or a legal dispute you will be at the forfront of BCRC leading a team of materials specialists.You will be expected to further develop your own and the company’s capabilities in inspection and testing of structures, concrete and steel durability design, service life modelling, reinforced concrete Cathodic Protection design and certification.

As the successful candidate you are likely to have tertiary engineering, science, or materials qualifications with at least 6 years previous relevant professional experience. You will have experience in conduction assessments of structures including NDT of concrete. You will have the ability to quickly absorb technical skills from the founders and consultants. You will be expected to have excellent verbal and written English communication, problem solving, analytical and organisational skills. To be successful you will need to be resourceful, proactive, a quick learner, driven to succeed and able to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with a network of industry contacts and established client relationships will be looked upon highly favourably, as will Chartered Professional Engineer status.
