Standards Committee Guidelines

The Standards Committee is responsible for the identification of standards, codes, and other industry guidelines and policies that are related to concrete that may impact Concrete Institute of Australia members and/or benefit from the input of appropriate CIA member or staff expertise.

To achieve the CIA’s vision and to meet our mission, there are a number of core organisational goals, in line with the key activities expected to be undertaken, by the Institute and its members including:

  • Promoting Excellence in Concrete
  • Knowledge Dissemination
  • Professional Development
  • Industry Collaboration
  • Representation and Engagement

Accordingly, the nomination and representation of members to Standards Australia committees is a core function of the Concrete Institute of Australia. Standards Australia recognises that the initial nomination to and the continuing support for any nomination to a Standards committee is at the discretion of the nominating organisation, which in this instance is the Concrete Institute of Australia.
