            Keynote Presenter
            Prof Stephen Foster, Professor of Structural Engineering, UNSW Sydney
            Stephen Foster is a Professor of Structural Engineering at UNSW Sydney and the former Dean of Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, Fellow of Engineers Australia, Fellow of fib, and Honorary Member of the Concrete Institute of Australia (CIA).  Stephen is a member of many Australian and international standards committees for the design of Reinforced and Prestressed Concrete Structures. He was the elected President of the International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib) (2023-24) and is currently the immediate past president. His main research interests are in bringing new materials technologies to the design of concrete structures.

            Panellist

            Dr Scott Taylor, Director, Engineering and Program Services
            Scott currently leads the Engineering and Program Services Team at Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) Roads within Big Build Roads (BBR), as the Director Engineering and Program Services. In his role, he oversees all engineering and technical aspects of the projects within the VIDA BBR portfolio, with a focus of identifying, managing, and mitigating technical risks.

            Scott is also responsible for fostering a culture of innovation within VIDA BBR projects. He has extensive experience in both government and private sectors, specialising in bridge design and design management. In addition, he also has a strong research background, having obtained a PhD in 2004 in structural dynamics and computational methodologies.
