What is new in Anchoring

 Kate Storer, Technical Manager, Ramset™ Australia.  Kate Storer will talk through the latest advancements in post-installed anchoring including what is new in AS 5216:2021, the chemistry of chemical anchors and their long-term behaviours, and the principles behind mechanical anchors.

Installation Systems

Andrew Rossiter, Product Manager ANZ, Ramset™.  Andrew Rossiter will present the innovative methods for managing tolerances and avoiding misalignment in structural connections between concrete and steel.  He will also look at the latest innovations in the design of tension bracing in construction projects.  


Kate Storer, BSc (Hons) is the Technical Manager at Ramset™, a division of ITW.  Her current role sees her lead engineering engagement for the specification of Ramset™ anchors and connections into concrete.  Kate has over 25 years’ experience in the engineering departments of leading manufacturers in the construction industry, supplying engineered solutions for connections and load transfer systems into concrete.  Originally from Cheshire in the United Kingdom, Kate has lived in Brisbane, Queensland for the last 11 years.

Andrew Rossiter is the Product Manager for Ramset across Australia and New Zealand for the Structural Anchoring Portfolio.  This portfolio includes ChemSet™ Chemical Anchoring, Mechanical Anchoring and engineered solutions in OrbiPlate™ and ReidBrace™. Andrew Has over 10 years’ experience with Ramset, across Business Development and Product Management roles, in the Australia and New Zealand concrete construction markets.
