Event Summary
Concrete is the most widely used material in construction. However, despite its strength and versatility, it is still susceptible to water leaking and damage. Without proper waterproofing, water can have a significant impact on a structure, leading to cracks, corrosion of reinforcement, durability issues, and an overall reduction in lifespan. Ensuring the durability of concrete structures requires effective waterproofing strategies.
This seminar will provide delegates with an overview of key methods and technologies that can help improve the longevity of concrete, and updates in the significant reforms taking place in NSW surrounding waterproof and watertight concrete structures.

Gary will share an update on the outcome of consultation undertaken in 2023, the expected costs and benefits of the change and recent efforts to further fine the drafting for improved clarity.
