Cement & concrete suppliers are already striving to achieve concrete mixes with reduced levels of embodied carbon to meet society's demand for "net zero" by 2050.The presentation will focus on the changes to the cement and SCM standards (AS3972 & AS3582 respectively) as well as discussing how concrete mixes can be modified to accommodate reduced levels of cement - and hence, reduced levels of carbon - whilst not impacting concrete performance parameters.
