Concrete Pour for Regional Hospital

The first concrete pour has been completed on a new regional NSW hospital with more work planned for the coming months.

Situated south-east of Canberra, construction of the $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, is on track with the new concrete slab forming part of the lower ground floor of the north-western corner of the hospital.

The hospital when finished will service the Eurobodalla Shire along the NSW south coast from Narooma to Batemans Bay.

“Work on a new roundabout on the Princes Highway will begin shortly, with the roundabout expected to support future access to the new hospital’s site entrance,” NSW Health stated.

The new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital will include:

  • An emergency department and 8-bed ICU/close observation unit
  • Increased access to chemotherapy treatments and renal dialysis
  • Surgical and operating theatres, including a day surgery unit
  • Expanded medical imaging, including an MRI service
  • Ambulatory care for community and outpatient services
  • Paediatric and maternity services, and a special care nursery
  • Mental health beds for short term care
  • Enhanced education and training facilities, including a simulation laboratory.

Construction work is expected to start on the roundabout in the coming months and should be  finished in late 2025.
